We need you!!! We currently need volunteers Tuesday mornings, Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday afternoons, and Thursday evenings. 

Choose a 2 ½ hour weekly time spot and become a regular!

Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you need volunteers?

    Yes! We are entirely dependent on volunteers. We offer flexible volunteer schedules so contact to let us know what works for you. Click the Volunteer link or email us at info@mckinneyfoodpantry.org.

  • Can families with kids volunteer?

    Certainly! What better way to show children the importance of giving back than by doing it together! We just ask that any child under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Do you have a list of most needed donations?

    We are currently in emergency need of the following items:


    Pop-top canned tuna

    Pop-top canned chicken

    Beef sticks

    Cereal

    Protein bars

    Lunchbox snacks for kids (fruit roll-ups, small chip bags, fruit snacks, Goldfish)

    Peanut butter crackers

    Applesauce pouches

    Formula

    Diapers

    Toilet paper

  • Can we volunteer as a group?

    Absolutely! We have groups come on Saturdays shifts to stock and organize the Pantry


    Or Sponsor a Drive!  Organize a donation drive at your workplace or other social organization. We can provide crates for easy transport and even pick up donations if needed.

  • Are my donations tax deductible?

    Yes, they are! The McKinney Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are happy to issue a receipt upon request. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
